I’m getting dumber with age

Posted by Trixter on January 23, 2006

When I was in grade school, my IQ was tested at 157. When I was in high school, I was tested at 123. Just now I tested my IQ and it came out to be 114. I’m getting dumber as I get older!

Actually, age is factored in, because some things get easier with age, like anagrams.

IQ tests vary greatly in quality. The one you linked to doesn’t look particularly reputable. High IQ societies tend to be full of the types who think that being smart is a substitute for actually doing something with your life, but they know their shit when it comes to measuring intelligence. Take one of the IQ tests listed on this page if you’re really curious:

According to that page, to get into MENSA one of the tests you need is an ACT of 32 or higher (prior Oct. 1989). I only got 31, so I fail, and there’s no need to pursue it any further.
