Happy Birthday to the IBM PC (and MTV)

Posted by Trixter on August 12, 2011

Today, the IBM PC celebrates it’s 30th birthday.  11 days earlier, MTV did the same.  Both of those events changed the world and shaped my life, so I had a little fun with my own IBM PC to commemorate the event, which I call MTV Corruption:

About 4 hours start to finish, because I found a bug in my software and it was faster to rework the video around the bug rather than fix it. I started with the PAL version of the video but fell back to the NTSC version (detelecined to 23.976fps) and redoing everything as a result.

On the upside, my Core i7 can transcode video at about 4fps, a 4x speedup from the machine I used to encode it on.
